Say hi to everyone!

Summer has finished. And now, that everyone is going back to work and holidays are over, we invite you to join us with this friendly action that will put you on track in an activist and joyful way!

The project “Say hi to Tom” is an initiative that combines art with activism, fight with play, and assertion with information. In a nutshell, it invites people to be activist and participate off-line SENDING A POSTCARD.

This initiative is critical with massive tourism, a way of tourism that has become overcrowded and that, mostly, put off people instead of charging their batteries to go back home fully ready to retake their routines.

This kind of tourism annoy visitant and visited. And on top of that, it doesn’t show the real face of the visited place. Is just a kind of scenery that has been build to make money and that, most of the times, doesn’t consider the harm this practice is doing to the place and their inhabitants.

For all these reasons, Say hi to Tom! wants to assert in a playful, friendly, pacific, enjoyable, and overall ARTY way, an other kind of truism. More healthy at social, environmental and communicative levels.

All benefits gotten from this project will be given to an entity with the same values, that is fighting to make it better and that has the hope that it can be changed.

For all this reasons, and to have fun, Say hi to Tom! invites you to participate and do your own bit :)! Because in this kind of projects every single person is important, and it’s the way to really build something bigger!

We will appreciate if you press LIKE to the facebook profile (Say hi to Tom), if you SHARE it, or if you would like to PARTICIPATE !

I am collaborating in a project with Christina Schultz. A German artist who has been living in Barcelona for about 18 years.

The project has three clear parts. As follows:

The first one, is about creating an off-line network through which people will send postcards from their city. The theme will be a public space form their hometown. They will also have to answer three questions.

In the second part (once we will have received the postcards), Schultz is going to create a collage out of each postcard. To make it, she is going to use: the postcard, the three questions the participator will have answered, and her own imagination and creativity.

Following, we are going to choose one of those collages and print a limited edition.

All people who participate in the project are going to receive one of this postcards signed by the author.

To finish it up, an auction is going to be hold in Christmas. All the benefits are going to be given to an entity who fight to preserve public spaces in danger to be privatised.

We have thought about changing our initial website idea. It is because we think that once iSense will start functioning all the other devices will vanish and won’t be necessary any more. Therefore, we have created a website based only in the product.

You can see the title on the top, followed by a picture of the chip with a quote describing one of it’s features. Underneath, we have two links buttons that leads to the two promotional videos.

Following, you will see four pictures of the chip in different angles and the description of the “core” product and the extencions.

We have decided that the page should be sleek and based on a minimalistic design that relates to “apple”.

Home page

I wanted the home page to be cohesive with the splash page so I decided to keep the visual shape of the splash page in the navigation area.

This is how it will look when the cursor isn’t placed on the squares:

And this is how it will look like when the cursor is on each one of the squares:

I have decided to place the navigation on the top left of the website and make it’s position fixed so it always remains there, static.

Making it even more simple

I made the splash page as I wanted it to be but once I was moving the cursor through it, it looked kind of funny because the change of colours was too over the top. As a consequence, I decided to make the background plane and to change the position of the text describing each content by placing it an the top, where the title is.
